feefrae collects and presents evidence. It does not certify safety. That one line is the whole product — these are the boundaries it draws, in plain words, so you know exactly what feefrae is and isn’t.
We do not certify restaurants.
feefrae collects and presents evidence — what diners managing the same allergy actually experienced. It is not an accreditation, an audit, or a kitemark. A venue cannot pass or fail feefrae, because feefrae issues no verdict to pass.
We do not declare any venue “safe”.
No page, card, badge or label on feefrae ever calls a venue safe for your allergy. We describe what happened to people like you, with honest numbers and dates — and any kitchen run by humans can err, so the safety call is always yours, made directly with the venue.
We do not remove negative outcomes.
Reactions and near-misses aren’t hidden or edited away. A venue gets a right to respond, never a right to delete — a safety record you could pay to scrub would be worthless to the diners reading it.
You can market here — you just can’t buy the signal.
Venues are welcome to pay for marketing: featured placement, reach, photos, a great-looking page, matrix hosting and compliance tools. What money can’t touch is the diner-evidence signal itself — you can’t buy a higher confidence score, a “safe” label, or a badge you haven’t earned. Pay to look good and get seen; the trust is earned only through real diner outcomes and real operational action.
We do not hide evidence.
We show where every piece of information comes from, how recent it is, and how much of it there is — including when there is little or none. A thin or stale picture is shown as thin or stale, never dressed up as confidence.
We do not replace medical advice.
feefrae is not a medical authority and gives no medical advice. We never tell you what you can eat. For guidance on your condition, we point to the FSA, Coeliac UK and Anaphylaxis UK — and always: confirm with the venue, and carry your medication.
Why the rules are this strict
People managing coeliac disease and food allergies make real-world decisions from what feefrae shows them. The evidence is only worth something if diners know it can’t be bought, hidden or manipulated — so these aren’t fine print, they’re the product.
